We have an exciting opportunity for a Brand and Marketing Advisor to join our Digital Brand and Marketing team. We are looking for a talented advisor to maintain the integrity of the DOC brand while developing and delivering effective marketing campaigns that influence meaningful behaviour this role you will inspire people to be more aware of connect with and advocate for Aotearoas unique natural and cultural heritage.
The position will be focussed on:
- playing a key role in scoping planning and delivering engaging regional and national campaigns and marketing initiatives
- using research and audience insights to inform your work and contribute to campaigns that have a meaningful positive impact on DOCs brand and reputation
- partnering with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent compelling and effective expression of the DOC brand
- applying best practice brand and marketing principles to deliver activity that supports DOCs strategic outcomes.
This is a full-time fixed term role until 30 November 2026 and can be based in Christchurch or Wellington.

To be successful in this role you will need to be an organised project coordinator a great collaborator a creative thinker a good problem solver be able to build and maintain strong relationships and be a dedicated DOC brand champion.
Were keen to hear from you if youre able to demonstrate evidence of the following requirements in your written application:
- 2-3 years experience delivering multi-channel brand and marketing campaigns and strategies ideally within large complex organisations or departments.
- Experience using research data and audience insights to contribute to effective marketing campaigns.
- Experience working with and upholding brand guidelines.
- Strong understanding of engagement product and behaviour change marketing.
- Delivering projects from conception to completion including reporting.
- Highly collaborative adaptable and consultative - with successful experience working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse complex information from a variety of sources identify opportunities and provide impactful solutions.
- Strong organisational skills with proven ability to work at pace manage several priorities simultaneously and ability to deliver tasks in a timely manner.
- A natural team-player with great written and verbal communication skills.
Although not a requirement of the role were interested to hear if you have any experience delivering digital marketing campaigns. Please also let us know if you have experience in sponsor or partner marketing.

The salary range for this position is $80054 to $101142 with the starting salary of the successful applicant based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
