Job Path is seeking an energetic responsible and creative person to provide long-term job coaching support to employed individuals with developmental disabilities. This position is a combination of being a part-time SEMP counselor and a part-time Direct Support Professional.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks:
SEMP Counselor (part-time)
- Provide long-term direct support to employed individuals including assisting them in learning new tasks
- Support a small caseload of employed individuals including advocacy with employers benefit assistance job support and guidance
- Encourage Participants to learn new skills to grow at their jobs.
- Develop long term working relationship with supervisors and managers.
- Work with employers to guarantee their satisfaction with Job Path services.
- Visit case load participants at least twice a month
- Submit documentation of all services provided for the month for billing purposes in a timely manner.
Direct Support Professional (part-time)
- Be flexible and available to provide support to SEMP participants as needed. At times one might have to work on the weekends.
- Work with employer and individual to resolve any problems that may arise during work hours
- Write detailed case notes for job coaching services provided for the month
Qualifications: BA degree preferred or a combination of related education and experience. Experience supporting people with developmental disabilities a plus.
Salary:$39700.00 per year non-exempt
