Facilities Coordinator 500 HIRING BONUS

$500 paid out after 6 months of employment ( external candidates )

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for maintenance organization and leadership Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help ensure our store and grounds are clean safe and well-maintained for staff customers and the community.

What Youll Do:

• Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of store equipment and systems
• Coordinate with outside contractors for services like snow removal landscaping and pest control
• Monitor and maintain safety cleanliness and compliance across the store and grounds
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and balers safely and efficiently
• Keep accurate records help develop preventative maintenance schedules and innovate solutions to improve our facilities
• Support staff provide excellent service and contribute to a positive work culture

What Were Looking For:

• Building maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with tools equipment and safety practices
• Comfortable working indoors outdoors and at heights or in tight spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems
• Forklift or heavy equipment experience
• Familiarity with natural foods and interest in food systems

Starting pay is $25-$30 depending on experience.
