Were seeking a motivated Laboratory Analyst II to support trace metals analysis in our environmental laboratory located in Kilgore TX.


This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced high-volume environment and enjoys hands-on analytical testing laboratory instrumentation and producing accurate high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented safety-focused and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment.


What Youll Do

  • Perform sample preparation trace metals analysis and QA/QC testing in accordance with EPA methods SOPs and regulatory standards
  • Review validate and document analytical data within LIMS and escalate discrepancies or abnormal findings as needed
  • Perform analytical calculations and assist with preparation of laboratory reports and documentation
  • Operate calibrate maintain and troubleshoot ICP ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS instrumentation and laboratory equipment
  • Support QA/QC programs audits corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated laboratory environment
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to meet turnaround times and operational demands
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related science field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant lab experience may be considered
  • 1-2 years of professional hands-on analytical laboratory experience
  • Demonstrated experience operating calibrating maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation preferably ICP ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook)


Work Schedule

  • Full-time onsite position following a standard Monday - Friday schedule
  • Ability to work outside of scheduled hours including evenings or weekends as needed
