Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Procurement Buyer II to support our client in a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment. This role is responsible for inventory purchasing supplier coordination procurement operations and production support activities to ensure material availability and efficient supply chain operations.

This is a fully onsite role supporting production operations and requires strong analytical skills ERP system experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Position Summary

The Procurement Buyer II will support day-to-day purchasing and inventory management activities to maintain production continuity and support overall supply chain performance. This role involves inventory replenishment vendor coordination purchase order management issue resolution and collaboration with accounting and production teams.

The ideal candidate will have prior supply chain or procurement experience within manufacturing environments and be proficient with ERP systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Purchasing & Supply Management

Manage assigned inventory items to support production requirements
Perform inventory analysis and replenishment activities for commodities and special-order items
Review purchase order confirmations revisions and change orders
Monitor and expedite inventory-related issues and shortages
Manage reorder point (ROP) and inventory max levels
Support inventory lifecycle management from new product introduction through obsolescence
Follow up with vendors regarding information requests and procurement issues

Vendor & Supplier Management

Support alignment of parts and purchases with approved corporate suppliers
Enter and maintain supplier information and banking updates within corporate systems
Investigate and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to support operational needs

Accounting & Procurement Operations

Support accounting processes related to inventory transactions and procurement activities
Investigate standard cost issues inventory transactions item codes and account discrepancies
Process inventory credits and resolve procurement-related issues
Compile monthly purchase order reports to support audit requirements
Resolve received-not-billed discrepancies with suppliers

Reporting & Administrative Support

Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Utilize ERP systems and analytical tools to support reporting and purchasing activities
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and operational support tasks
Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Associate degree Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain Logistics Business or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain procurement storeroom planning or customer support functions
Experience with SAP and/or PeopleSoft
Strong proficiency with analytical tools and Microsoft Excel
Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under changing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of inventory control procedures and supply chain operations
Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
Ability to work with technical teams suppliers and engineering groups
Experience handling proprietary parts drawings or technical procurement documentation
Strong issue resolution and conflict management skills
Ability to quickly learn procurement policies tools and processes

Frequent interaction with production suppliers accounting and supply chain teams
Extended hours may be required to support operational and production coverage needs
