About the Role

You will teach French across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering lessons that develop students speaking listening reading and writing skills.

Students will build vocabulary improve grammatical accuracy and develop fluency through structured and engaging lessons.

You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations supporting them in developing exam technique and independent learning skills.

You will work collaboratively within the Languages department to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach French across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Deliver engaging lessons focused on communication and language development

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations

• Assess student work and provide detailed feedback

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Support language enrichment and cultural activities

• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching French at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge in French

• Strong classroom management skills

• Good organisational and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level French

• Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations

• Ability to teach an additional language
