Core Responsibilities

1. Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with significant opportunities for A-Level instruction for suitably qualified candidates.

2. Textual Inquiry: Guiding students through the interrogation of complex texts fostering the ability to identify nuanced themes structural choices and the socio-political contexts of authors.

3. Written Eloquence: Systematically developing students ability to write with clarity flair and purpose whether for academic analysis persuasive rhetoric or creative storytelling.

4. Data-Driven Progress: Utilising the academys robust assessment framework to provide granular feedback ensuring students are equipped to meet the high demands of AQA Edexcel or Eduqas specifications.

5. Oracy Leadership: Coordinating extra-curricular initiatives such as debating societies or school magazines to promote a vibrant culture of literacy and expression across the academy.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority who believes that the study of English is essential for developing informed articulate and empathetic citizens. Requirements include:
