An independent sixth form school in Derby is seeking to appoint an Economics Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a high-achieving academic environment that values independent thinking analytical learning and university preparation.

About the Role
You will teach Economics at Key Stage 5 delivering lessons that develop students understanding of economic theory market behaviour fiscal policy and global economic issues.
Students will build analytical writing data interpretation and evaluative skills through structured lessons case study analysis and discussion-based learning.
You will prepare students for A-Level Economics examinations supporting them in developing strong exam technique and independent study habits.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Teach A-Level Economics to KS5 students
Deliver lessons covering microeconomics and macroeconomics
Prepare students for A-Level Economics examinations
Assess student work and provide detailed feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Support independent learning and academic development
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
