The Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) will support Patriot Product Line (PPL) Quality team focused on Software and Training Devices at our Andover and Tewksbury MA locations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to partnering with quality representatives in our functional organizations (Systems Engineering & Integration and Test Software Engineering etc.) to ensure process assurance quality risk management defect management Continuous improvement Quality financial and status reporting and Cost Savings initiatives for Patriot Software & Training Devices. You should have a strong quality mindset ability to self-start proficient communication skills and ability to lead teams and collaborate across multiple functions to support the Patriot Software and Training devices IPT.

You will proactively engage with the product line and work in partnership with Program Leadership Engineering Global Supply Chain Operations Finance and the Quality team. You will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs and occasionally interface with U.S. Government Customers Global Customers and Suppliers.

This is an on-site position in Andover or Tewksbury MA.

What You Will Do:

  • Interface with the program quality teams programs suppliers customers and Integrated Product Team supporting technical quality and financial performance and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders as it is vital to the success of this role.
  • Ability to self-start define a problem statement explain impact draft a plan coordinate with stakeholders and drive solutions
  • Responsible for:
    • Quality of delivered products and services to our customers stakeholders of quality risks uncertainties and opportunities key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
    • Improving processes or systems using conceptualization reasoning and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined and information is typically difficult to obtain.
  • Periodically report out to leadership teams providing updates on testing and field issues investigations status and metrics.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA. Identify when such activities are warranted.
  • Assuring inclusion of quality requirements planning and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
  • Generation of new Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • Implement APQP as applicable.
  • Lead Financial analysis initiatives supporting program predictability

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of engineering and quality experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience in providing technical program support on a team that develops software/firmware
  • Experience with RCCA and continuous improvement
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active U.S. government security clearance.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification
  • Six Sigma Lean CORE or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Experience in other functional areas such as engineering supply chain or operations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and networking skills to work with upper management and customers.
  • Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.
  • Experienced team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Experienced in contract flow and compliance.

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
