The submarine and surface ships within this video highlight the products we have designed and now build in Jacksonville.

The Value Streamis responsible forNaval Structures supporting various US Navy platforms. Production operations arelocatedacross two sitesand three value streamsin Jacksonville Florida.

What You Will Do

  • Manages the execution of operations to meet established targets and metrics within Safety Quality Delivery Cost andPeople

  • Develops operational and financialobjectivesfor all operational areasin order toincrease profitability and mitigate all risks to the business

  • Direct a multi-functional team to ensure areas meet business strategyobjectives

  • Maintains compliance to all regulationslawsand mgmt. systems requirements

  • Proactively reduces EH&S risks and promotes safe behaviors in the workplace Supports all safety programs to include behavioral based safety and job hazard analysis; ensures that Operations is flawless executing all safety programs that Operationsis responsible forperforming

  • Manages capacity demand & resource plans to ensure rate readiness and 100% On-time delivery to internal and external customers

  • Supports the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process to ensure that adequate capacity and headcount are planned andmaintainedfor the operations teams

  • Ensures successful implementation of engineering development activities

  • Develops maturity of Business Intelligence tools to ensure efficient material flow

  • Integrates tactical & strategic supply chainupdatesto ensure delivery and manage risk

  • Managesobjectivesfor operating budgets capitalplansand cost savings targets. Ensures thatutilizationand labor efficiency are achieved and sales output is realized

  • Achieves inventory improvements and manages manufacturing variances

  • Ensures effective implementation of product and manufacturing technologies

  • Identifiesand executes manufacturing technologies & world class manufacturing initiatives aligned with the 5-yr strategic plan

  • Champions change through the active support of Continuous Improvement tools and processes. Leads and supports all Operational continuous improvement processes and initiatives to include Visual Management Strategy Layout Linkage Flow and 5S

  • Develops the annual operational macro plan and ensures individual projects are implemented to resolve the problemissueor opportunity

  • Drives employee engagement / positiveculture andexecutes strategic workforce planning initiatives

  • Standardizes best practices across operations and business processes

  • Ensures adherence to our Operational rhythm to include Tier meetings IPT construct Gemba boards RCCARTPR andrecovery plans

  • Executes a robust talent management and succession planning process

  • Ensures all training and skills are assessed to ensure no critical skills gaps

  • Representsthe organizationtosustain a positive organizational culture

  • Ensures compliance with all government and corporate policies and procedures

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experienceoran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Experienceinleading operations supervisors or managers
  • Experienceinworking in an ISOregulatedmanufacturing facility
  • Experienceinworking with the Lean / Toyota Production System in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications We Prefer

  • STEM or Engineering Bachelors degree

  • CNC machining operations(compositepreferrably)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Excel Project)

  • Experience withSAP

  • Experience as an Operations Managerworking in a high mix low volume manufacturing environment

  • Experience withSoluminaor relevant MES experience

  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Chemical processingcompositeor rubber layup manufacturing experience

  • Demonstrated experience implementing world class manufacturing techniques

  • Certified in Six-Sigma

  • Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) or Human and Organizational Performance (HOP)

  • Demonstrated ability toestablishand mature a Continuous Improvement culture

  • Experience with single piece flow in a mixed model production environment

  • Demonstrated experience with new program introductions(NPI)and rate increases

The salary range for this role is 157200 USD - 298800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
