HEAD OF CORPORATE FINANCE Australian Renewables Developer Sydney

Our client is a growing purpose-driven Australian renewables developer seeking an exceptional senior finance professional to take the lead finance seat at a pivotal moment in their development. They are actively commercialising their flagship multi-technology renewable energy project and need someone to come in and own it.

The Role

This is a genuine step-up opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager or Corporate Finance Manager ready to move into the Head of Corporate Finance seat. You will lead the corporate finance function end to end with extensive project finance transaction experience essential from day one.

You will have two direct reports and work directly alongside the CEO and senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all project finance activities for the flagship project through to financial close managing advisors engaging directly with JV partners and lenders and owning the process end to end
• Develop and maintain sophisticated project finance models for debt raises equity structuring and investment analysis
• Manage financial due diligence across legal technical and commercial workstreams to address lender and investor requirements
• Negotiate and execute financing agreements across debt and equity structures
• Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions investors and advisors
• Lead all financial operations including reporting forecasting budgeting and treasury management
• Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to the CEO and Board on investment decisions and capital allocation
• Support business development new project feasibility tender processes and transaction execution across the broader portfolio
• Build and continuously improve the finance function as the business scales

About You

• 1015 years of experience in project finance infrastructure or energy finance
• Hands-on transaction experience ideally including financial close processes from the developer or IPP seat
• Strong financial modelling capability across complex project finance structures
• Comfortable leading in a lean fast-moving environment where initiative and ownership are essential
• Excellent stakeholder management able to represent the business credibly with lenders JV partners and the Board

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
• STI up to 20%
• LTIP cash-based milestone-linked (financial close COD)
