Job Summary
Key Areas of Responsibilities
-
Draft/review legal documentation for Equities and Enterprise Legal matters;

Provide legal advice on Institutional Equities and Enterprise Legal matters;
-
Prepare or update policies and procedures for the Firm;
-
Work with the Group Legal/Compliance on the regulatory matters and other ad hoc projects as needed;

Liaise with other internal departments and affiliates regarding the above matters and any other matters as required;

Liaise with external counsel and other service providers as needed; and
-
Provide legal training to the Firm
Requirements
-
Degree holder in legal degree (Bachelors degree or above)

Qualified in a common law jurisdiction
-
Approximately 9 years of legal experience
-
Legal experience with leading financial institutions or prominent law firms is required
-
In-depth understanding of equities brokerage or other financial business;

Proactive solution driven and result oriented willing to learn and to make judgement call strong analytical problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

Aptitude to review other types of legal documents when required
-
Good team player who can work independently and also as part of a large legal team
-
Excellent command of spoken and written English; other Asian language skills can be a big plus but not mandatory.
