Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analysing designing and improving manufacturing systems and processes to enhance productivity quality cost efficiency and delivery performance in defence vehicle production operations.Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and improve manufacturing and assembly processes
- Conduct workflow analysis line balancing and capacity planning
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies
- Perform time studies and establish production standards
- Optimise material flow plant layout and production scheduling
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and production readiness
- Monitor operational KPIs and prepare performance reports
- Collaborate with production supply chain quality and engineering teams
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce operational waste
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and defence manufacturing standards
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 35 years experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
- Experience in vehicle manufacturing defence automotive or aerospace sectors advantageous
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies
- Experience with process mapping workflow optimisation and production planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industrial engineering tools/software
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
