About the team
The Content Apps team at VIZIO develops tools that empower internal customers and partners to manage test and monitor applications within the VIZIO ecosystem. The team emphasizes creating efficient engaging solutions while fostering technical expertise. It operates in a collaborative open environment supported by engineering and business teams. Joining as a Senior Software Engineer means contributing to next-generation TV app tools driving innovation and supporting continuous improvement through teamwork and technical excellence. What youll do:
Build services that are integration points for mission-critical third-party partners.
Design and implement containerized APIs deployed to the cloud.
Write efficient and reliable code across multiple languages (ex. Go python SQL Terraform etc.)
Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
Assist in solution design participate in design reviews and ensure scalable secure and maintainable systems.
Monitor application performance conduct maintenance and support defect management and debugging.
Mentor peers share knowledge and promote engineering best practices for continuous improvement. What youll bring:
Bachelors Degree (BA BS or MS in Computer Science) or equivalent experience and 5 years of development experience.
Strong proficiency in a strongly-typed language and familiarity with javascript.
Experience in code reviews debugging and delivering maintainable scalable and secure software components to a major cloud provider (AWSGCP Azure).
Experience working with relational databases.
Experience with containers and infrastructure-as-code (IaC Terraform).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team welcoming ideas from partners business stakeholders and technical experts.
