This role focuses on scrap collection waste removal supplying production work centers maintaining cleanliness and ensuring continuous production flow throughout the Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficientlyComplete daily forklift inspections and safety checksMonitor batteries charge equipment and report unsafe conditionsCoordinate weigh record and load outbound scrap trailersMonitor and operate auto-balers for scrap collectionCollect portable dumpsters and waste containers throughout the facilityCollect and replace napkin totes and table cover bins from work centersEmpty cardboard racks throughout the plant and warehouseCollect full Gaylord containers from work centers and replace with empty containersCollect and palletize butt rollsBale napkin and corrugate scrapCompress Gaylord containers at work centersOrder supplies as neededSweep and maintain cleanliness of scrap rooms loading docks and surrounding work areasClean around balers and other equipmentReport equipment issues promptly to maintenance personnelMonitor work areas for safety hazardsLift and manipulate stub rolls from pallet to floor or pallet to palletWork with multiple departments to supply appropriate products when requestedFollow GMP and SQF guidelines and report any food safety concernsFoster a positive and collaborative work environmentTrain and support employees as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsManufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not requiredPrevious forklift experience preferredAbility to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong awareness of surroundings traffic areas and workplace hazardsAbility to communicate effectively and work as part of a teamAbility to lift bend and stand for extended periodsAbility to hear safety sounds and maintain awareness while operating equipmentEquipment UsedSit-down forklifts (box clamps and roll grabs)Walkie-rider equipmentICC lock down barGarbage compactorAuto wrapper / film equipmentC184 fork trucksProtective Equipment RequiredSafety glassesHearing protectionSteel-toed shoesGlovesSchedule & PayShift: Night Shift 2-2-3 rotating schedule (6:00 PM 6:00 AM)Pay: $19/hour $2.00/hour shift differential after 6:00 PMSign-On Bonus: $1500 total$500 after 90 days$500 after 180 days$500 at 1 yearApply today or email#CreativeConverting255#ClintonvilleJobs255Additional InformationThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
