Job Summary
Role Purpose
The Senior Buyer is responsible for leading the sourcing strategy and supplier management for locally managed commodities (CG0) primarily related to outsourced manufacturing and subcontracting. This role requires strong commercial judgment deep local market knowledge and close collaboration with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to support capacity cost and supply continuity strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
Lead procurement activities for locally managed commodities in alignment with plant and business strategies.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for outsourced manufacturing and subcontracting suppliers.
Analyze market trends cost drivers innovation opportunities and alternative supply options to support strategic decision-making.
Supplier & Contract Management
Define and negotiate contract terms including pricing MOQs lead times and low-volume production scenarios.
Act as the primary escalation point for key suppliers and subcontractors.
Drive supplier performance risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost & Financial Management
Lead cost analysis identify variances and proactively drive cost-reduction and profitability initiatives.
Support budgeting cost modeling and financial evaluations related to sourcing decisions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
Coordinate and provide guidance to junior buyers and support resources.
Partner closely with Manufacturing Supply Chain Finance Engineering Planning and Program teams.
Manage internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment and clear communication.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with procurement policies contracts and applicable regulations.
Support change management initiatives and contribute to procurement process improvements.

Advanced negotiation and supplier management expertise.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with a data-driven mindset.
Proven ability to manage complex sourcing scenarios and make independent decisions.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to manage challenging conversations.
Strong leadership prioritization and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or related field.
35 years of experience in procurement sourcing or supplier management
Proven experience in the automotive industry
Proven experience managing outsourced manufacturing suppliers.
Advanced conversational English (C1)
