The role:

We are looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to join our Facilities team. Reporting to the Estates and Facilities Supervisor you will coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities and provide hands-on support across the Hospice sites as required. You will line manage the Maintenance Assistants planning and prioritising workloads and ensuring work is completed safely efficiently and to a high standard.

You will have a strong working knowledge of general maintenance and building trades including plumbing painting and decorating and carpentry gained through a relevant qualification or substantial hands-on experience. To support the team and manage day-to-day duties you will be comfortable using IT and modern software and have a sound understanding of current health and safety legislation. You will also have the confidence to lead and support others (including allocating tasks monitoring progress and coaching where needed) with a willingness to undertake further training.
