Job Overview

Our client is looking for a results-driven Assistant Sales Manager Public Sector to drive business growth by promoting products and services to government ministries state institutions and public-sector organizations. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship management proposal handling and business development skills with experience in public-sector sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting government and public-sector organizations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential public-sector clients
  • Support the Sales Manager in preparing proposals tenders quotations and presentations
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and post-sales support
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends competitor activities and new business opportunities
  • Track sales performance and prepare reports to support business growth
  • Participate in promotional activities meetings and events related to the public sector

Requirements

  • Minimum G.C.E. A/L qualification; a degree or professional qualification in Sales Marketing or Business Management will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 24 years of experience in sales or business development preferably within the public sector
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and tender procedures
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
  • Ability to build long-term professional relationships and manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated proactive and capable of working independently and within a team

Preferred Skills

  • Strong business development and client management capabilities
  • Good analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets
  • Prior experience handling government or institutional accounts will be an added advantage
