About the role
We are seeking aConservationProject Officer to support the delivery of conservation projects across theSouth Centralregion based in our Melbourne CBD office.
This role is essential to the delivery of multiple conservation projects across SouthCentralVictoria andcontributes to meaningful on ground outcomes. Familiarity with conservation and land management principles isrequiredto provide guidance and undertake project activities.
In this role you will proactively engage with partners and landholdersregardingproject delivery conduct monitoring spatialmappingand work with contractors to undertake on-ground project activities.

The role involves regular travel across Central Victoriaencompasses the Greater Melbourne region including the Corangamite and Port Phillip & Westernport Catchments.

This is afulltime(1.0 FTE) fixed termcontract for two years.
The role offersan annualsalary rangeof$71117$76083plus 12% salary offered will be aligned with thecandidatesexperience.
The roleoperatesin a hybrid model with a blend ofwork from homefacetofacedaysand field travel throughout SouthCentralVictoria is a core part of the role. A drivers licence isrequired.
About you
We are searching for someonewho ispassionate aboutconservationwhois looking to grow their career in the Environmental successful candidate willbring;
- At least1year of experience working in the environmental sector
- Degree in environmental science natural resource management or similar/ relevant experience
- Understanding of conservation principles and practices including legislation and knowledge of Victorian Ecological Vegetation Classesfloraand fauna.
- Demonstrated project management experience including understanding ofcontractor managementbudgets and report writing.
- Experience mapping spatial mapping and GIS.
- A current drivers licence and willingness to travel asrequired
