The Role:

Due to continued growth MCA Engineering is seeking a qualified Spray Painter for our Parkes NSW workshop. We are open to candidates at both Trade or Leading Hand or Supervisor level.

For experienced candidates with leadership capability there is an opportunity to supervise and coordinate our workshop painting team. For trade-level applicants this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive environment with future growth opportunities available.

This role involves the preparation blasting and painting of mining and industrial equipment and machinery within a workshop environment with occasional mine site support as required.

Roster is Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities available. MCA Engineering employees are paid under an Enterprise Agreement with rates ranging from $54.29 per hour up to $60.86 per hour casual and $46.40 per hour up to $52.02 per hour permanent depending on experience and level.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Spray painting of small medium and large parts for the Mining and Industrial sectors using conventional spray equipment and airless spray-painting equipment with two pack epoxy paint and two pack polyurethane paints
• Preparation of equipment for paint
• Mixing paint
• Maintaining the booth and preparation areas in immaculate condition
• Loading and unloading of product
• Touch up painting
• Inspection of own work
• Sandblasting
• Completing Quality Assurance of painted items
• Attending mine sites to assist trades.

To be considered you must have:

• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application
• Broad knowledge and experience in the Industrial spray-painting area
• Leadership or supervisory experience highly regarded for Leading Hand or Supervisor applicants
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Experience with airless and conventional spray equipment
• Experience with applying two pack epoxy paints and two pack polyurethane paints preferred but not essential
• Self-motivation and able to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to demonstrate agenuine carefor the wellbeing of the company and a sense of company ownership
• Have own transport and drivers licence
• Experience in working in a workshop environment
• A forklift licence would be highly regarded
