About the role:

The General Clerk will report to the Head of People & Culture and is responsible to provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the horticulture business. The role involves maintaining records processing documentation coordinating communications supporting payroll and inventory administration and assisting operational teams with day-to-day office functions. The position contributes to smooth business operations by ensuring accurate data management timely reporting and effective administrative support across farm and office activities.

Key operational accountabilities include:

Administrative Support

  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties including filing scanning photocopying and document management.
  • Maintain accurate company records databases and administrative systems.
  • Prepare routine correspondence reports forms and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings appointments and staff communications.

Data Entry and Record Management

  • Enter and update operational payroll inventory and production data into companysystems.
  • Maintain employee records supplier information and farm documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices purchase orders and delivery records.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance and audit documentation.

Communication and Coordination

  • Answer phone calls emails and general enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Liaise with suppliers contractors customers and internal departments.
  • Support coordination of office supplies deliveries and logistics administration.

Operational Support

  • Assist farm management and administration teams with daily operational tasks.
  • Support payroll administration and timesheet processing where required.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and stock record maintenance.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for management review.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Certificate III or higher qualification in Business Administration/Office Administration/Business or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience.
  • Experience in agriculture horticulture warehousing or logistics administration.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and inventory management software is desirable.
  • Current driver licence.
