Our client a leader in Telecommunications industry is seeking an experienced IT Service Manager to join their IT Insurance division. Responsible for the end-to-end planning delivery performance management and continual improvement of IT services across the organisation ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Information Systems or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 57 years of progressive experience in IT Operations or Service Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience within a multi-vendor or enterprise environment will be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with South African regulatory requirements including POPIA and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience working within dynamic industries such as Finance or Telecommunications will be considered an advantage.

- Communication & Interpersonal Skills.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure networking cloud services cybersecurity principles and IT service management.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as Jira Remedy or similar platforms.
- Business Acumen
- Customer Focus & Adaptability
- Project Management - Familiarity with project management methodologies and frameworks including Agile and PRINCE2.
Preferred Certifications:
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher (e.g. ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader).
- Project Management certifications such as PMP CAPM or PRINCE2.
- Security or risk management certifications including CISSP CISM or CRISC.
- AWS certification(s) will be advantageous.
