Job Summary
Our client a well established Sacramento based organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail oriented payroll professional with strong accounting skills and a commitment to accuracy compliance and timely processing. The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for full cycle payroll processing and supporting key accounting functions. This contract to hire position offers a primarily remote schedule with hybrid work (2 days onsite) after training. Key Responsibilities
- Process full cycle payroll accurately and on schedule
- Manage payroll taxes and ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations
- Perform W 4 and payroll reconciliation
- Prepare and post payroll related journal entries
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Support audits and reporting as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in full cycle payroll processing; must have ADP Workforce
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations
- Experience with payroll reconciliations and journal entries
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
