Job Summary

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors Inc. is currently seeking an individual for a full-time position as a Mechanical Senior Project Manager located in the San Diego area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Proven project management skills with a minimum of 10 years experience as a project manager with full mechanical contracting or related construction firms.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in industrial related projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of preconstruction/design-assist experience.
  • Proven experience in management of healthcare data center lab higher education and semi-conductor projects. Contract value range of $15M-200M.
  • Degree in Construction Management Mechanical Electrical Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience working with job sites in healthcare is preferred.

Computer Skills

Able to effectively operate the following computer software programs

  • Microsoft Project Microsoft Office Viewpoint

Duties include safety of UMEC field personnel assigned totheir projects preconstruction design- assist field labor productivity quality assurance and coordination project financial outcome projections and reporting material and equipment procurement change order management owner/client relations project cash flow and personnel management.

Managers are responsible for directing and overseeing the work activities of their direct reports. Comply with all company operating policies procedures executed Plans and Programs.
