Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology Test & Evaluation Program Mission Support Engineering & Analysis and Training.

Responsibilities

As a Biotechnology Subject Matter Expert with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Support the Office of Critical Technologies as it guides and supports modern research and analysis of strategic biotechnology initiatives.
  • Advise top Pentagon leadership on biotechnology issues
  • Work to evaluate and secure cutting-edgetechnologyessential to the modernization of national strategy in defense.
  • Represent USD R&E on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in Government-approved conferences and forums in addition to specific USD R&E projects.
  • Assist prepare and conduct meetings for current Biotechnology issues.
  • Conduct biotechnology research analysis.
  • Develop and coordinate concepts and requirements for the application of current and emerging technologies as they apply to DoDs R&E program.
  • Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership and outside DoD.
  • Track the department-wide budget for efforts aligning with Biotechnology.
  • Maintain and update Biotechnology modernization roadmaps coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations to the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) pertinent to mission needs and technical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience of engineering biotechnology and Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E)
  • Masters degree in STEM and minimum of 5-years recent experience in biotechnology or an MBA degree
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Excellent writing communication and briefing

Previous experience with:

  • Department of Defense RDT&E mission and processes.
  • Engineering analysis of alternatives integration requirements and testing.
  • Biotechnology programs.
  • Biologicaland biotechnology experimentation
  • Experimentation ofbiologicaleffects for RF and directed energy weapons
  • RF and directed energy capabilities.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $191500.00/Yr. - USD $319700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
