Responsibilities
As a Biotechnology Subject Matter Expert with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Support the Office of Critical Technologies as it guides and supports modern research and analysis of strategic biotechnology initiatives.
- Advise top Pentagon leadership on biotechnology issues
- Work to evaluate and secure cutting-edgetechnologyessential to the modernization of national strategy in defense.
- Represent USD R&E on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in Government-approved conferences and forums in addition to specific USD R&E projects.
- Assist prepare and conduct meetings for current Biotechnology issues.
- Conduct biotechnology research analysis.
- Develop and coordinate concepts and requirements for the application of current and emerging technologies as they apply to DoDs R&E program.
- Assist and prepare presentations and reports to DoD leadership and outside DoD.
- Track the department-wide budget for efforts aligning with Biotechnology.
- Maintain and update Biotechnology modernization roadmaps coordinate roadmaps with key stakeholders.
- Make recommendations to the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) pertinent to mission needs and technical capabilities.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience of engineering biotechnology and Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E)
- Masters degree in STEM and minimum of 5-years recent experience in biotechnology or an MBA degree
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Excellent writing communication and briefing
Previous experience with:
- Department of Defense RDT&E mission and processes.
- Engineering analysis of alternatives integration requirements and testing.
- Biotechnology programs.
- Biologicaland biotechnology experimentation
- Experimentation ofbiologicaleffects for RF and directed energy weapons
- RF and directed energy capabilities.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $191500.00/Yr. - USD $319700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
