SUMMARY: To assist in providing well-organized and effective ESS Lending Libraries and inventory in which students can take full advantage of the instructional programs and available resource materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Distribute and collect textbooks materials and audiovisual material including assistive technology adaptive equipment furniture consumables and other program or student specific resources.
  • Inventory check out and check-in aforementioned materials and resources.
  • Do minor repair or creation on assistive equipment.
  • Maintain computer records operate standard office equipment.
  • Receive training on the purpose and use of equipment and from qualified district providers.
  • Assist the team(s) with creation and preparation of materials.
  • Work closely with Assistive Technology Motor and Speech teams.
  • Compile/update the items that need to be checked in replaced and where needed billed for
  • Compile and update equipment materials and resources using software.
  • Maintain a variety of records.
  • Assist in ordering and budgeting.
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with students employees community members and vendors.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  • Using standard and specialized equipment assist in the development and creation of adaptive materials
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of computer operating systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in record keeping.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated competency in computer literacy.

LENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Standard practices methods and materials of assigned work.
  • Basic mathematical reading and writing concepts.
  • Filing and record-keeping principles.
  • Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.
  • Customer service principles.
  • Specialized equipment relevant to the area of assignment.
  • Modern office technology.

SKILL IN:

  • Following directions and meeting standards.

  • Performing basic math calculations.
  • Comprehending reference books and manuals.
  • Operating assigned tools and equipment.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class require: stooping crouching reaching standing walking fingering grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
