About the Role
As the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator youll help shape a workplace where people feel safe respected valued and empowered to thrive. Partnering with leaders and teams across the organisation youll drive initiatives that strengthen equity inclusion cultural safety and belonging in meaningful and practical ways.
This is an opportunity to lead impactful work that builds cultural capability challenges inequity and supports our commitment to becoming an anti-racist organisation. Youll help create lasting change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) staff clients and communities by embedding inclusive culturally responsive practices across the organisation.
What Youll Do:
- Lead initiatives that strengthen diversity equity inclusion and cultural safety across the organisation
- Partner with leaders and teams to embed inclusive and trauma-informed practices into everyday work
- Drive projects and strategies that support Parkervilles commitment to becoming an anti-racist organisation
- Review and improve people and culture practices to remove barriers and create more equitable outcomes
- Design and deliver engaging learning experiences that build cultural capability and inclusive leadership
- Chair and support DEI committees and working groups to drive meaningful action and accountability
- Build strong partnerships with community organisations sector networks and stakeholders
- Contribute to policies frameworks and projects that strengthen inclusion belonging and organisational culture
This position is offered on a fixed-term part-time basis at our Burswood office with travel between sites on occasion.
What Youll Bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Organisational Development Social Sciences or a related field
- Strong understanding of diversity equity inclusion cultural safety and anti-racist practice
- Knowledge of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples CALD communities and LGBTQIA individuals
- Experience developing and implementing DEI strategies programs or initiatives
- Experience delivering training or workshops on inclusion and cultural capability
- Ability to review policies and practices through an equity and inclusion lens
- Understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks relating to equal opportunity anti-discrimination and cultural safety
