Community Solutions is seeking junior candidates that are interested in commencing a Plastering Apprenticeship based inTownsville. This Apprenticeship will allow you to complete a Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (Plastering) with a reputable business that services the North Queensland region. If you are motivated and hardworking & seeking a career in the construction industry we want to hear from you!

The Apprenticeship Will Involve:

  • Assembling of partitions
  • Installation and finish of plasterboard and fibercement sheeting to walls and ceilings
  • Cleaning of job sites
  • Heavy lifting may be required
  • Repair and restore of existing plaster work

Requirements:

  • Valid Drivers licence with own transport
  • White Card (Construction Safety Induction)
  • Certificate 1 in Construction (highly regarded)
  • Able to work full time hours (Mon - Fri) with possibility of overtime on Saturdays
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Demonstrated hand-eye coordination
  • Enjoy completing practical work
  • Physically fit
  • Able to carry out precise and detailed work
  • Ability to provide two work related references.

Successful applicants will be required to pass an aptitude test and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
