Datacenter Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Datacenter Engineer to design implement maintain and support mission-critical datacenter infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring high availability performance and security of enterprise systems networks and hardware within the datacenter environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support day-to-day datacenter operations ensuring uptime and reliability of infrastructure services.
• Install configure and maintain servers storage systems and network devices within the datacenter.
• Monitor system performance capacity and availability; proactively resolve issues and bottlenecks.
• Support network infrastructure including routing switching and firewall configurations in collaboration with network teams.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting replacement and lifecycle management of datacenter equipment.
• Implement backup disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Ensure adherence to IT security policies standards and best practices within the datacenter environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software support and maintenance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and handle critical incidents as required.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology Computer Science or Engineering.
• 35 years of relevant experience in datacenter or enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking and infrastructure technologies.
• Strong knowledge of routing switching and network troubleshooting.
• CCNP certification required; CCIE certification is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in critical situations.
• Strong ownership and accountability.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware Hyper-V etc.).
• Familiarity with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.
• Understanding of Linux/Windows server environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in high-availability environments.
