Job Summary
Job Title: Technical PM/Business Analyst Legacy Application Modernization -15 years Exp.
Location: Austin TX (Onsite Local candidates only)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Responsibilities & Required Experience
- Review analyze and evaluate business systems workflows and user needs
- Formulate systems and technical solutions aligned with overall business strategies
- Lead business process reengineering and identify technology modernization opportunities
- Develop manage and execute requirements and analysis activities supporting legacy application modernization initiatives
- Analyze existing legacy system functionality databases integrations and workflows to document current-state business processes and system behavior
- Translate legacy application functionality into modern web-based system requirements
- Elicit document validate and manage business functional technical and non-functional requirements
- Create detailed clear complete and testable requirements documentation
- Perform gap analysis between current legacy systems and future-state web-based solutions
- Identify functional technical operational and compliance gaps and propose feasible modernization solutions
- Prepare solution options risk identification cost/benefit analysis ROI analysis and buy/build evaluations
- Collaborate closely with developers architects database teams technical leads and stakeholders to ensure accurate translation of requirements and SQL-based solutions
- Support project planning activities including task tracking milestone reporting issue management dependency tracking and risk escalation
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings requirements workshops walkthroughs reviews and formal sign-offs
- Provide ongoing support to development and QA/testing teams by clarifying requirements and validating implemented functionality
- Communicate project status risks dependencies and deliverables to leadership and stakeholders
- Work independently with limited supervision while coordinating across multiple technical and business teams
- Analyze SQL-based data models system integrations and backend processes
- Review system workflows and identify modernization and optimization opportunities
- Maintain productive working relationships in a fast-paced project environment
- Adapt effectively to evolving technical requirements and modernization complexities
- Demonstrate strong written verbal and presentation communication skills
- Work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting legacy-to-web application modernization initiatives
- Experience working within Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environments focused on web application development
- Hands-on collaboration development teams and SQL database environments
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise IT systems within government or regulated environments
- Experience with project management methodologies and project coordination activities
- Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science Information Systems or related field preferred
- PMI-PBA CBAP PMP or similar certifications preferred
