Job Description -
Training: 3rd Shift role will be train during the 1st shift 2-3 weeks.
Headcount requirements: 2 for 2nd shift 1 for 3rd Shift.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To perform routine preventative maintenance and to diagnose and make repairs on technical production and facilities support equipment.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all GMP and SOPs as defined by Medtronic policies practices and procedures to insure that FDA and ISO regulations and quality standards are met.
- Respond to line calls in a professional safe and timely manner.
- Maintain and sustain the daily operation of production machines and fixtures with goal of zero downtime.
- Performs nearly all repairs needed suggests implements solutions to equipment issues
- Test devices and machines to determine performance levels.
- Document results of testing and/or trouble shooting.
- Identify the root cause of manufacturing equipment problems and implement corrective action.
- Troubleshoot & service minor to complex electrical machine controls and circuits.
- Identify and improve safety issues within the production areas.
- Dismantle repair or replace devices using hand tools and power tools.
- Consult collaborate and follow up with other maintenance techs engineering and manufacturing employees to identify and resolve all maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate and collaborate with eternal vendors.
- Maintain 5S environment in work area(s) and maintenance shop.
- Follow required lock out/tag out procedures and all other safety requirements.
- Prepare and set up equipment when required.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment through the company software program.
- Document corrective maintenance through the company software program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Intermediate technical training or certification in electrical circuits is preferred
- Maintenance certificate
Job Experience:
- Hands-on technical experience working in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in Medical Devices or other related industry preferred
- Intermediate electrical trouble shooting.
- Intermediate pneumatic circuit trouble shooting.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings including dimensions tolerances and electrical schematics.
- Understanding of electrical motors servo motors and vision systems
- Use of trouble shooting tools such as multi-meter
- Understanding of machining milling and lathe equipment a plus
- Solid understanding of Form Fill and Seal equipment a plus
- Solid understanding of bar and tray seal equipment a plus
- Experience with MIOSHA standards
- Understanding how to interact with HMI systems
- Replace components (i.e. temperature controllers sensor power supply ect.)

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to get underneath or mount equipment ranging from floor level or below elevated heights and in confined spaces to perform repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to lift tighten (torque) equipment. Frequent amounts of finger dexterity used.
- Must be able to safely and efficiently make machine repairs in a highly efficient high pressure clean room manufacturing environment.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds occasional lifting up to 75 lb. Moderate amounts of overhead lifting
- Long periods of standing bending twisting turning
- Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment as required including:
- Protective eye ware
- Ear plugs
- Hair net
- Protective gowning (lab coat hood shoe covers)
