Under the direction of the IT Applications Director the PM/Business Analyst (PM/BA) will support modernization initiatives by leading and executing business and technical analysis activities for the conversion of legacy applications to modern web-based solutions. This staff augmentation role works closely with technical teams stakeholders and subject matter experts to plan analyze document and validate system requirements. The PM/BA will leverage strong knowledge technologies and SQL-based systems to translate existing functionality into clear actionable requirements that support web application development.
This position operates with limited supervision and requires the ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple technical and business teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop manage and execute requirements and analysis activities supporting the conversion of legacy applications to modern web-based platforms technologies.
- Analyze existing legacy system functionality databases and workflows to document current-state processes and system behavior.
- Elicit document and validate business functional and non-functional requirements for web-based application development.
- Perform gap analysis between current legacy systems and desired future-state web solutions identifying functional technical and compliance gaps.
- Collaborate with developers architects and database teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements and SQL-based solutions.
- Support project planning activities including task tracking milestone reporting issue identification and risk escalation.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings requirements reviews and walkthroughs to obtain consensus and formal sign-off.
- Provide ongoing support to development and testing teams by clarifying requirements and validating implemented functionality.
- Communicate project status risks and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Key Skills:
- 12 Years Required Experience in Legacy system analysis and modernization strategies.
- 12 Years Required Experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) particularly for web-based application development.
- 12 Years Required Experience in gathering requirements elicitation and documentation (business functional and technical).
- 12 Years Required Experience in translating legacy application behavior into modern web-based system requirements.
- 12 Years Required Experience in Stakeholder facilitation communication and consensus building Project coordination and task tracking.
- 12 Years Required Knowledge of analyzing SQL-based data models and system integrations.
- 12 Years Required Reviewing system workflows and identifying modernization opportunities.
- 12 Years Required Written verbal and presentation communication.
- 12 Years Required Create clear complete and testable requirements documentation.
- 12 Years Required Work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- 12 Years Required Identify system and compliance gaps and propose feasible solutions.
- 12 Years Required Adapt to evolving technical requirements and modernization complexities.
- 12 Years Required Maintain productive working relationships in a fast-paced project environment.
- 12 Years Preferred experience in business analysis or PM/BA roles.
- 8 Years Preferred Demonstrated experience converting legacy applications to web-based solutions.
- 8 Years Preferred Hands-on experience working development teams and SQL databases.
- 8 Years Preferred Experience with project management methodologies.
- 4 Years Preferred Bachelors degree in business Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- 4 Years Preferred Experience supporting large-scale IT systems within government or regulated environments
- 4 Years Preferred PMPPMI-PBA CBAP or similar certification preferred.
