DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Server & Hosting Management (Core Focus)
• Manage configure and maintain Linux-based servers (production & staging)
• Administer and manage cPanel & WHM environments
• Setup and manage hosting accounts emails databases and FTP access
• Handle domain management DNS configuration and SSL installations
• Perform server hardening patching and performance tuning
• Monitor server uptime logs and resource utilization
• Implement and manage backup & disaster recovery processes

AWS Cloud (Added Advantage)
• Launch and manage EC2 instances
• Configure basic AWS services like VPC Security Groups IAM and S3
• Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch
• Manage DNS using Route 53
• Understand AWS best practices for security and cost optimisation
(Note: AWS knowledge is desirable but not mandatory)

Monitoring & Troubleshooting
• Monitor server health and hosting environments regularly
• Troubleshoot issues related to Linux servers hosting DNS email and SSL
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
• Coordinate with hosting providers/cloud support when required
• Ensure minimal downtime and SLA compliance

Client Infrastructure Support
• Configure infrastructure based on client requirements
• Support web applications CRM systems and hosting environments
• Maintain staging and production environments
• Document server configurations and processes

Required Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in Linux Server Administration (mandatory)
• Experience with cPanel & WHM
• Good understanding of hosting environments and server management
• Knowledge of DNS domain management and SSL configuration
• Experience in server monitoring security and performance tuning
• Backup & disaster recovery knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Added Advantage
• Basic hands-on experience with AWS (EC2 S3 IAM VPC Route 53 CloudWatch)
• Familiarity with VPS/Dedicated server environments
• Exposure to DevOps tools or automation (Ansible Bash scripting etc.)
