The Role
Base Location: Seven Hills NSW
Employment: Permanent Full time 38 hours a week
Renumeration: $65866 per annum super salary packaging
We have an exciting opportunity to work as a WorkReady Consultant on a full-time basis at Seven Hills. As a WorkReady Consultant you will assist people with a disability to build their capacity and work towards achieving their employment aspirations such as gaining employment that best suit their skills and interests or undertaking further education. This service focuses on utilising our strong networks and community links to create and develop vocational goals life skills and source real-life work experience opportunities.
A typical day as a WorkReady Consultant may include:
- Developing a person-centred plan with each participant
- Identifying employment and education goals
- Coordinating work experience placements
- Facilitating individual and group-based training sessions
- Coordinating and attending social events and excursions
- Proactively engaging with employers to secure opportunities for participants
- Meet your performance indicators by converting sales leads into placements
This role requires travelling between sites from time to time to support the WorkReady team across NSW.
Success in this role will also come from your natural ability to engage with a wide variety of external employers and providers to market your services to secure education and work opportunities for the participants youre working with.
Essential criteria:
- Understanding of person-centred approach
- Drivers licence (minimum P2)
- Ability to undergo satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of and commitment to child safe standards and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Strong administrative skill set
- Comprehensive Car Insurance and Motor Vehicle Registration
