Job Summary
Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Engineerposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

The Assistant Engineer is the journey-level class in the engineering series. Under general supervision incumbents are expected to be proficient in performing difficult assignments in routine planning design technical investigations and field/construction projects. This position holds no supervisory responsibility but may provide technical direction to paraprofessional engineering personnel or Engineer/Architect Student Interns.
An Assistant Engineer may serve as a resident engineer on smaller less complex field/construction projects. Incumbents in these positions typically receive direction from an Associate Civil Electrical or Mechanical Engineer who is the lead level engineer in this series.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Either:1. Graduation with a bachelors degree in civil mechanical electrical or environmental engineering or a closely related field accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Or:2. Possession of an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate.
