With the addition of the civil department and the continued commitment of our structural department LBYD has experienced growth at a phenomenal rate. We continue to pursue growth opportunities evidenced by opening more branch offices throughout the Southeast region.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Office Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in support of our daily office operations as well as organizing storage in a warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general office duties such as photocopying scanning filing and data entry
- Answer and direct phone calls; take messages when necessary
- Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail and packages
- Maintain office supply inventory and reorder as needed
- Assist with storage maintenance in the office warehouse
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and filing systems
- Support other departments as needed with basic administrative tasks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
- Dependable and able to maintain confidentiality
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium work: Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates in an office and warehouse environment.
