We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our project team by bringing your experience in the field of liquid hydrogen systems and respective components as well as making the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Your accountabilities
As part of Airbus and to accelerate the development of a Zero Emissions Aviation you will drive the development of the liquid hydrogen system components on all levels. This ranges from defining components and selecting the technology sizing the component and implementing it with suppliers.
Your main responsibilities
As such:
You will design the hydrogen systems and its related cryogenic and non-cryoenic components such as pumps valves or heat exchangers with a focus on performance
You will identify component requirements and core parameters based on the system architecture through simulation tasks
You will drive simulation topics on system level to investigate performance behavior
You will contribute to the verification strategy by defining system and component level tests
Profile
Experience in cryogenic applications if possible H2 & N2
Good knowledge in typical system engineering simulation tools & languages
Python scripts for sizing - 0D/1D
Python script for data pre-post processing
AMEsim (dynamic studies) - 0D/1D
Matlab & Dymola
Capable of customizing library for H2 systems and components
Aware of world standard interface between models like FMI standard or dedicated interface from Matlab & Dymola
Good knowledge other tools for specific tasks (e.g. CFTurbo CFD tools like StarCCM or Elemental & 3D CFD modelisation of tank sloshing)
Good knowledge of 1D tool for phase change phenomena and thermodynamics in general
Good knowledge of system controls (development & validation)
Typical tasks: simulation consolidation of inputs for architecture trades definition of controls logic component sizing (Pumps Valves burst discs Heat Exchangers Piping Tanks)
