What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

We are looking for aVice President of Production Qualitytobuild scale and leadtheplant quality function at Scout Motors. This role is foundational to our success and requires an experienced automotive quality leader who hasstood up production quality systems in a high-growth OEM environment led through launches and inspired large teamsboth professional and hourlyto deliver excellence every day. This is a rare opportunity todefine the quality culture strategy and systemsof a new OEMwhile honoring Scouts heritage and living our values.

As VP Production Quality you will own theend-to-end production quality vision and executionfor Scout Motors South Carolina manufacturing operations. You will:

Lead with Respect

  • Buildscaleand lead a high-performing inclusive Production Quality organization across plant quality supplier quality warranty and customer experience.
  • Inspire and develop leaders at all levelsprofessional and hourlycreating clear accountability psychological safety and pride in craftsmanship.

Move with Intent

  • Define and execute theProduction Quality strategy aligned to Scout Motors businessobjectivesand North American market expectations.
  • Establish robust quality governance KPIs and decision-making forums that drive clarity speed and results.

Figure It Out

  • Design implement and continuously improveproduction quality processeswithin the Scout Motors Business Management System (BMS).
  • Lead structured problem-solving initiatives that reduce direct run rate issues scrap rework and warranty riskespecially through launch and ramp-up.

Go Together

  • Partner deeply with Engineering Manufacturing Supply Chain and Purchasing to embed quality intodesign industrialization supplier readiness andseriesproduction.
  • Align cross-functional teams around shared objectives and a single definition of right the first time.

Step Up

  • Own supplier quality performance across a complex multi-tier supply chaindriving sustainable corrective actions and holding partners accountable.
  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer overseeing vehicle audits warranty data and customer feedback loops.

  • Balance quality cost delivery and risk with strong strategic analytical and financial judgment.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia SC.
  • The responsibilities of this role require 4-5 daysattendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.
  • Travel: Domestic and international travel required approximately 20 % of the time. Valid drivers license required. Passport required

What youll bring

  • 15 years of experience in automotive production quality with at least 5 years inanexecutive leadership role in an OEM;Expertisein new product launches
  • Bachelor degree is required Master degree is preferred.
  • Deep expertise in setting up Production Quality processes as part of the Scout Business Management System (BMS)
  • Strong background inmanufacturingquality warranty management and customer feedback integration
  • Advanced capability in supplier quality management across global multitiersupply networks
  • Proven ability to lead crossfunctionalorganizations at senior executive level
  • Track record of building and scaling large quality organizations
  • Knowledge in data engineering and data analytics as well as in implementation of digital solutions to facilitatea Data Driven Quality approach.
  • Strong strategic analytical and financial acumen balancing quality cost delivery and risk
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills a high levelof assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making skills
  • Current knowledge of automotive quality trends technologies and bestinclasspractices
