Vendor Manager, Office

Amazon Canadas Hardlines team is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager to join our dynamic team. Vendor Managers work directly with strategic vendors to enhance value selection and convenience for our customers while driving profitability and topline performance across their categories.

About the Role
As a Vendor Manager youll leverage customer obsession and data-driven analytics to develop creative solutions that drive business growth. Youll manage key manufacturer relationships on and collaborate with cross-functional teams including site merchandising buying pricing inventory management operations online marketing and finance to optimize performance for our vendor partners.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work at one of the worlds most innovative online retailers while developing strong functional skills in online merchandising marketing buying planning forecasting pricing and business analytics.

Key job responsibilities
Lead key categories and brand relationship for
Drive business growth through strategic vendor and brand relationship management
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor terms
Optimize selection catalog management and inventory levels
Generate forecasts and manage product launches
Develop and execute pricing strategies
Conduct detailed analytical deep dives to identify growth opportunities
Own P&L performance for your category
Collaborate cross-functionally to elevate customer experience

A day in the life
As a Vendor Manager youll start your day reviewing key business metrics and addressing any immediate vendor issues. You might spend the morning analyzing performance data to identify growth opportunities before joining a negotiation call with a strategic vendor. After lunch youll collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to plan upcoming promotions then meet with finance to review pricing strategies. Throughout the day youll respond to vendor inquiries coordinate with cross-functional partners and continuously look for ways to improve selection and profitability.

- 2 years of account management project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools

- Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML Excel and SQL)
- Experience in online retail
- Experience in account management project/program management or buying
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products workflows or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
