About the opportunity:
The Workers Compensation Specialist reports to the Director of Occupational Health to develop maintain and manage Vail Healths Workers Compensation program.
What you will do:
- Performs patient registration and associated tasks which includes Employer and Insurance information.
- Triages schedules and coordinates workers compensation patient appointments.
- Partners with Employers and Work Comp insurance companies to assist patients with their M164 form and back to work processes.
- Tracks and manages all patient cases throughout the workers compensation process and obtains patient claim and contact information.
- Coordinates all patient referrals and authorizations from insurance.
- Assists overall department with administrative needs such as data entry and report generation.
- Assists with drug screens and alcohol testing.
- Assists with training and orientation
