Country Manager Iberia (Spain & Portugal)

Location: Madrid Spain

Role Overview

The Country Manager One SCS has full P&L accountability for the UPS Supply Chain Solutions business in the country overseeing Freight Forwarding and Logistics & Distribution operations under a single integrated One SCS model.

The role is responsible for defining and executing the country strategy driving sustainable profitable growth ensuring operational excellence and representing UPS SCS with customers authorities and employees. The Country Manager acts as the senior executive leader incountry and is accountable for commercial performance cost management people leadership compliance and customer experience.

What are you going to do:

  • Drive the Core Business: Manage the Iberia operations where 70% of revenue and profit is driven by Freight Forwarding (Air and Ocean) while simultaneously scaling our Warehousing and Distribution activities.

  • Oversee Hub Operations: Direct the complete Air Freight operations and our largest warehousing facilities both centrally located in Madrid.

  • Lead Organizational Transformation: You will be responsible for a total workforce of 100 people.

  • Financial & Commercial Stewardship: Execute a multi-year strategy to ensure margin improvement and cost discipline. You will act as the executive sponsor for key strategic customers across Spain and Portugal promoting integrated solutions.

Who are you

  • The Industry Expert: You have a deep-rooted background in Freight Forwarding (specifically Air and Ocean) and Global Logistics.

  • The Bilingual Leader: You are mandatory fluent in both Spanish and English.

  • The Management Pro: You possess significant business and management experience with the people skills necessary to navigate complex team dynamics and organizational change.

  • The Financial Navigator: You have sharp financial acumen comfortable with P&L ownership yield management and customer portfolio optimization.

  • The Madrid Local: You are either based in or willing to be based in Madrid to maintain a visible presence at our primary operational hub.
