Director, Enterprise Technology Planning and Operations

Job Summary
Essential Functions:
Supervision & Team Leadership: Supervises assigned staff including Workday Business Analysts integration specialists and Banner support staff. Responsibilities include assigning and reviewing work providing guidance and coaching and conducting performance evaluations.
Workday Operations & Release Management: Manages the Workday release lifecycle coordinates system testing with functional departments and ensures the operational continuity of Workday services.
Enterprise Application Oversight: Leads the technical management and ongoing support of enterprise applications including Workday Banner and related third-party systems. Oversees integrations tenant management system maintenance and the refresh schedule for Workday Sandbox and Sandbox Preview tenants.
Technical Architecture & Planning: Provides technical guidance on IT application architecture and long-term enterprise application strategy including future-state analysis and system planning.
Campus Collaboration: Collaborates with campus departments and stakeholders to identify system needs implement new features and ensure enterprise applications effectively support institutional operations.
Project & Vendor Management: Leads enterprise application implementation projects manages vendor relationships for enterprise systems and oversees the technical aspects of campus software implementations.
Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
Level of Education:
Required: Bachelors degree in relevant field
Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
Work Experience:
Required:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting enterprise applications (such as Workday or other ERP systems).
- Demonstrated experience with system configuration integrations and project leadership.
- Progressive supervisory experience and a proven track record of effective team collaboration.
Preferred:
- 10 years of experience supporting enterprise applications including leading complex technical projects and managing high-performing teams.
- Deep Workday technical knowledge and hands-on administrative experience.
