Patient Care Tech MotherBaby Full-time Nights

Womans Mother/Baby Unit incorporates the couplet care model to provide exceptional care to postpartum patients and their newborns. Our 84-bed unit focuses on the delivery of safe quality-driven patient- and family-centered care that is individualized equitable and inclusive.

Responsibilities of the Patient Care Tech position include but are not limited to:

• Supports Mother/Baby couplet care and family-centered care by assisting with individualized patient care education and comfort while treating patients and families with dignity and respect.
• Assists with basic patient care activities such as hygiene feeding support vital signs intake and output linen changes and maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Performs assigned clinical tasks including maternal vital signs catheter care IV discontinuation newborn heel sticks glucose checks and documentation reporting abnormal findings to the RN.
• Assists with patient admissions and discharges maintains accurate chart organization and verifies patient identification.
• Maintains clean stocked and safe unit environment including equipment cleaning and supply management.
• Adheres to infant safety and security protocols including ID verification safe infant transport and monitoring the electronic infant security system.
• Follows all hospital policies safety standards and documentation procedures including behavioral health protocols when applicable.

Hours

Nights 7 pm to 7 am; Including every other weekend (Friday Saturday Sunday)

Pay Range

$16.00 to $21.53 based on experience shift differentials
