• Day Shift 5x8 Hour Shifts
• Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Schedule may vary based on department needs
• Minimum 2 weekends required every 4 weeks
• Preferred availability for 4 weekends every 4 weeks

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist (SLP) to join a fast-paced Acute Care hospital setting in Canton Georgia. The therapist will work with a diverse patient population across multiple units including ICU neurological/stroke respiratory dysphagia and cognitive care.

This role is ideal for clinicians with strong acute care experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centered therapy services within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech therapy services in an acute care setting
• Assess swallowing speech language cognitive and communication disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
• Provide therapy interventions for ICU stroke/neuro dysphagia respiratory and cognitive-related conditions
• Document patient progress and therapy interventions accurately within EMR systems
• Collaborate closely with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with facility and clinical documentation standards

Requirements

• Minimum 1518 months of recent Speech Therapy experience within specialty required
• Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
• CCC-SLP Certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Prior Acute Care experience strongly preferred
• MBS/FEES proficiency preferred but not required
