Elementary School Teacher Job Summary: The Teacher supports the Philosophy and Mission Statement of the hiring school and provides a classroom environment and academic program to meet the spiritual intellectual emotional social and physical needs of each student. Responsibilities: - Be committed and passionate about Catholic education.
- Plans lessons and instructs children as directed by curriculum standards of the school
- Coordinates individual teaching goals and curriculum with those of the department and of the school
- Provides instruction to all levels of student ability
- Utilizes a variety of instructional approaches involving all available resources
- Promotes a positive classroom atmosphere
- Supports administrator and communicates with colleagues and parents in a spiritual and professional manner
- Maintains teaching credentials and professional growth
- Prepares required student records and reports
- Attends all required school meetings events
- Supports and enforces all school policies
- Fulfills all special duty assignments
- Understands and signs the terms and requirements of a formal Archdiocese of Detroit contract
- Models Christian behavior
- Treats all individuals with dignity and respect
