SAP UI5 Developer (MF)

As a SAP UI5 Developer you will contribute to the evolution stability and modernization of a strategic SAPUI5 application portfolio in an international luxury context.

You will work closely with backend developers functional teams and other frontend developers to deliver robust scalable and high-quality solutions while supporting the teams move toward SAP BTP Cloud Foundry.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Maintaining enhancing and troubleshooting existing SAPUI5 freestyle applications
• Maintaining and extending OData services exposed through SAP Gateway
• Participating in the full development lifecycle: design development testing deployment and documentation
• Collaborating closely with backend functional and other frontend developers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participating in code reviews architecture discussions and team brainstorming sessions
• Supporting release cycles and following established release-based workflows
• Ensuring code quality performance and adherence to team standards
• Contributing to continuous improvement of development practices tooling and project structure
• Providing technical guidance to less experienced developers when needed

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience developing SAPUI5 freestyle applications
• Solid track record in large-scale multi-application UI5 landscapes
• Experience working in release-based delivery cycles within enterprise environments

Technical Skills

SAPUI5 / Frontend Expertise

• Strong expertise in SAPUI5: components MVC routing performance optimization
• Ability to debug complex UI5 issues and optimize runtime performance
• Good command of CSS LESS and UI styling best practices within UI5 applications
• Comfortable working in large-scale multi-application UI5 landscapes

SAP Gateway / OData

• Solid understanding of SAP Gateway and OData service maintenance
• Capable of extending and troubleshooting existing OData services
• Basic understanding of ABAP for backend adjustments on OData services

SAP BTP Cloud Foundry

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Cloud Foundry: deployment environment setup troubleshooting
• Familiarity with the move from on-premise UI5 setups toward BTP-based delivery

Engineering Practices

• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts
• Proficiency with Git: branching strategies pull/merge requests conflict resolution
• Familiarity with release management workflows in enterprise environments

Languages

• English: mandatory
• French: a plus (optional)

• Team player comfortable in a collaborative 8-developer frontend setup
• Clear and constructive communication
• Ownership autonomy and continuous improvement mindset

• Experience with SAPUI5 component extensions (customizing or extending existing components)
• Hands-on experience with pipeline automation: automated builds linting testing deployment steps
• Experience upgrading SAPUI5 projects: version changes compatibility checks refactoring
• Familiarity with improving project structure modularization and build optimization
• Exposure to SAP Fiori Elements or RAP-based scenarios
