Job Summary

We centre the voices and lived experience of the people we support working alongside our clients to deliver services that are respectful inclusive and responsive.

We deliver homelessness intake and referral services integrated housing and support services encompassing Social and Affordable housing Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Transitional Housing Management (THM) and property services.

We have four (4) main office locations Bendigo (registered Head Office) Preston Mildura and Geelong.

The Role

To ensure thattheClient Care functionprovidessupport infindingaccommodationoutcomes for clients that arepresenting includestriageintake assessment and planning financial supportreferraland outreach servicesboth face to face contactorvia is acrisis driven function that requires trauma informed practiceand needsare met within funding guidelines and thataccuraterecords of clientinformationarekept.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure thatthe triage functionidentifiesand responds tothe level of needand vulnerability when clients present. Followed by theappropriate levelofassessmentandreferral toensure that clients aresupportedand provided withsuitableoutcomesina timelymannerand within the funding agreement.
  • Ensure thatfamilies and individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessnessare provided withaccesstomaintainsuitable accommodation through the provision of housing information direct financialassistance and targeted referrals.
  • Participateand coordinate interservice and external service management
  • Ensure that compliance and service standards are metin line with legislationpolicyand funding agreements.
  • Ensure that client brokerage isallocatedand reported within guidelines.
  • Ensure that staffing levels fit within budget.
  • Provide leadership coaching and foster team growth anddevelopmentinaccordance withPerformance Management policy.
  • Ensure that staff are trained to do their role.
  • Identifyand effectively manage staff performance

Who Were Looking For:

    • TertiaryQualifications in a relevant field (Social Work Community / Human Services etc.) or equivalent experience.
    • Proven experience in team management and leadership.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of homelessness services and community support systems.
    • Experience with CRM systems and data management.
    • Commitment tomaintaininga high standard of ethical conduct and professionalism.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners.
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet performance goals and deadlines.

Safety Screening Requirements National Police Check. Working with Children Check.

This role involves direct client and community based work including outreach and lone working in unfamiliar environments. Employees may support individuals experiencing trauma mental health issues family violence or significant psychosocial stressors and may be exposed to emotionally challenging situations and on occasion distressed agitated aggressive or violent behaviours. The role requires emotional resilience sound judgement and the consistent application of trauma informed and self care practices. The organisation actively manages psychosocial and safety risks through risk assessment and planning supervision workload monitoring safety protocols check in procedures training managerial support and access to employee wellbeing supports.
