Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse ready to undertake this key leadership role The After-Hours Manager is a pivotal member of the health care team providing after hours leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital. We specialise in fostering a dynamic team-based environment which is reflected in the best clinical care and warm caring environment.
As an After-Hours Manager you will:
Supervise safe quality care that meets current best practice standards
Provide leadership across the facility.
Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) and heads of departments
Ensure all areas are staffed according to patient acuity and appropriate skill mix
Coordinate patient admissions
Oversee the safety of all patients and hospital staff
Manage multiple tasks and allocate resources appropriately
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:
Current unconditional AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
Recent experience with the coordination and allocation of human resources within identified KPIs
A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office and Patient Management Software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with advanced problem solving and decision making abilities to ensure excellence in patient centred care and customer service
Be a role model for safe practice and commitment to quality patient care
Ability to apply the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards to clinical decision making
Understanding of Private Hospital Funding Models
Well-developed leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of a multi-disciplinary workforce
The ability establish and maintain rapport with external referral providers
The ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with patients their families and colleagues
The ability to manage special projects and selected portfolios
Current ALS Certification

If you are successful in the role you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF NSW Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreementa salary of NUM Gr 3 pay rate $74.03.
