Civil Designer
Job Summary
As a Civil Designer working with our Perth team you will focus on delivering comprehensive design work for civil projects using AutoCAD and 12D.
You will be responsible for
- Design and drafting of multi-disciplinary projects
- Preparation of construction documentation
- Review of drafting documentation
- Supporting and approving associated technical work directly related to the discipline
- Playing an active role in the business groups through regular meetings workshops training and business planning
Qualifications :
Ideally you will have 3-5 years of experience in civil design within a professional services or consultancy addition you will also have:
- Diploma of Engineering Technology (or similar) or significant experience as a civil designer
- Proficiency in 12D and AutoCad 2D
- A thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to mining land development storm water flood modelling civil infrastructure or roads (preferred disciplines)
- Experience working with clients in the mining sector highly desired
- Ability to define problems and relevant constraints and risks and discuss with Engineers
- Willingness to coach junior designers with advice on solutions and develop fit-for-purpose solutions to engineering problems
- Ability to autonomously develop complex designs and drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation
