Upper Murray Family Care (UMFC) is seeking a dedicated Restoring Families Coordinator (RFC) to join our team and play a pivotal role in strengthening the Child and Family Services system across the Ovens Murray area. This is a data-driven coordination and reporting role not case practice. You will manage referrals monitor system demand and support integrated service responses across the Ovens Murray region.

About the Role

As the RFC you will:

  • Coordinate and triage a high volume of referrals ensuring timely and equitable access to services
  • Monitor service demand capacity and system performance using data insights
  • Prepare high-quality reports for Child Protection ACCOs Justice and key stakeholders
  • Support multi-agency collaboration to improve outcomes for families with complex needs
  • Identify and escalate system gaps risks and barriers to service access
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and service system design

You will need to be confident working in a fast-paced environment switching between tasks while maintaining accuracy confidentiality and compliance.

About You

You are someone who thrives in complexity and brings:

  • Relevant qualifications in Social Work Psychology Welfare or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in a relevant or similar role
  • Strong understanding of the Victorian child and family service system including relevant policies and legislation
  • Knowledge of the Family Preservation and Reunification Response the foundation of the Restoring Families model and an understanding of justice services (highly desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of local Child and Family Alliance partners including funded family service providers Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and child protection services
  • Proven capability in service coordination
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands and manage time-critical tasks with precision
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting data and identifying trends
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and build strong collaborative relationships across diverse service partners
